Tina is a fiction writer, teacher, and traveler. I’ve had the pleasure of joining Tina on some of her adventures traveling through Colombia and she’s one of the coolest people I have ever met. Her story “New Years in La Calera,” published in PEN America Best Debut Short Stories 2018 [originally in EPOCH Literary Magazine (Vol. 66 No. 3)], won the PEN/Robert J Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers. She recently earned her M.A. in Creative Writing at UC Davis (2019), and is at work on a collection of short stories and a novel. Her opera, “Moon, Bride, Dogs” / “Bones of Girls” has been performed in Davis, CA, Atlanta, GA, San Francisco, Berkeley, and Sacramento, CA.

Chase Stories Chats is a series of talks with people revolving around their life stories and journeys. We dive into their passions and how they got to where they are now in their lives. Everyone has an important story to share and there are valuable lessons we can takeaway from each interaction.
